PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS
MASSAGE THERAPY:
(50 Clock Hours for State License Required)
Many career opportunities are offered in this field, sports / physical therapy practices, chiropractor offices, and medi-spas. At Boca Beauty Academy our programs will instruct you in pathology, anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology. Here will learn how to do Hot Stone Massages, Thai Massage, Sports Massage, Shiatsu, Prenatal Massage, Cranio-Sacral Massage, Deep-Tissue Massage, Swedish Massage, and Aromatherapy.
SKIN CARE:
(260 Clock Hours for State License Required)
Boca Beauty Academy prepares students for a well-rounded career in skin care. We know the top secrets to anti-ageing techniques, and that’s what we teach our students. You will be prepared to work in either a clinical environment or even a tranquil spa setting. Our courses consist of facials and wraps with skin care treatments, including, Microdermabrasion, Oxygen Therapy, Chemical Peels, Body Wrapping, Photo rejuvenation, Light Therapy, Make-Up Artistry, and Hair Removal Techniques. We will place you in whatever setting fits your needs and an ideal for you.
MICRODERMABRASION:
(6 Clock Hours for State License Required)
This program introduces progressive new practices into the esthetician or cosmetology repertoire, teaching students the proper methods of microdermabrasion.
COSMETOLOGY:
(1200 Clock Hours for State License Required)
Our precise educational program teaches students to master techniques like style, cut and color, and prepare for the State Licensing Examination. Course study includes chemistry, biology, even extensive live model application. Upon effectively passing the State License Examination, students will also be able to practice nails and skin care.
NAIL TECHNOLOGY:
(240 Clock Hours for State License Required)
All students will receive their own professional OPI Student Kit and case. We teach you manicures, pedicures and all artificial nail applications including gels, acrylics, and silk wraps. We focus on emphasis upon sanitization and sterilization. Upon successful testing and completion of program, which can be completed in less than 2 months. Students will receive a Diploma and are qualified to be registered for licensure.
PERMANENT MAKEUP:
(50 Clock Hours for State License Required)
This program is designed to teach students correct methods of makeup application for permanent makeup. At the end of the course the student will be a CDT “Certified Derma Technologist”. We offer classes focusing on Micro-Pigmentation Procedures, Proper Makeup Placement, Color Theory, Anatomy and Physiology, Sanitation, Safety and Sterilization and much more. ELECTROLYSIS:
(20 Hour Diploma Program)
Become a Licensed Electrologist. This course teaches the application of laser/light-assisted hair growth delay. Upon graduation, a certificate in Laser Hair Removal will be awarded.
Plentiful employment opportunities exist in physicians offices such as Dermatologists, Plastic Surgeons, as well as within Medi-Spas and Salons. Our training covers all aspects of permanent hair removal including short wave, blend, and multiple galvanic methods of electrolysis with demonstration and practical training on the most modern equipment.
MAKEUP ARTISTRY:
(30 Hour Certification Course in Laser Hair Removal)
